Fuel From Waste
We invite you to participate in the IX International Conference "Fuels from waste 2014", which will take place from 19 th to 21st November 2014 in one of the national tourist resorts in the mountains - Szklarska Poręba.
As it was in previous editions, in the conference will participate specialists from different areas of interest, like environment protection and waste management from leading Polish and international institutions. It is a tradition now, that Fuel from Waste is a meeting of national and foreign specialists of waste management. Our aim is to present, for the conference participants, the review of waste management processes: from traditional incineration, via co-incineration technologies to production of fuels by sorting and transformation. The main conference topics include theoretical and technical aspects of the following:
- energetic utilization of waste (inc. municipal one, hazardous and sludge),
- associated waste and energy management,
- use of waste in production processes,
- thermal waste management of non-segregated waste,
- technologies of formed fuel production and its parameters,
- technologies of waste transformation and treatment,
- technology of mechanical and biological treatment and waste management (including sorting, composting, digestion, recycling),
- creation and operation of advanced waste management systems (including their optimization),
- study of the properties of waste and products based on them (including fuels),
- ecological analysis of waste management effects,
- environmental monitoring in terms of waste management, in particular thermal processes,
- legal aspects of waste management.
Papers can be deliver (and publish) in one of the conference language (English or Polish). Within the framework of Conference's poster session is also predicted.
We predict various forms of publication possibilities of Conference's scientific outputs. Authors have the possibility to decide about the form of publication concerning presented during the Conference papers. We suggests:
- Chapter in a monograph publication in Polish or in the monograph in English (publishing cycle - after the 3-5 position of authors in each monograph, Department of Technologies and Installations for Waste Management Publishing, Silesian University of Technology, ISBN),
- The publication of the paper in book published after the conference (Department of Technologies and Installations for Waste Management Publishing, Silesian University of Technology, ISBN).
All forms of publication will be reviewed.

Within the framework of Conference exist possibility to receive certificate of training in modern methods of waste management.

Conference's Location
The conference will take place in "Szrenica" hotel located in one of the most beautiful Polish spa - Szklarska Poreba. Climate, pleasantness, excellent meals, comfortable hotel's furnishings will favor rest as well as active work.
Participants will be accommodated in single and double rooms. Each room will be equipped with toilette facilities, TV, set, etc. sauna, jacuzzi. Bowling and gym will also be available for the participants.
The conference's program will contain many attractions and informal meetings, like ceremonial banquet and lavish out-door regional dinner.
